This Pre-Angkor four-armed Vishnu would’ve originally been encircled by a supporting arch and was allegedly found around Phnom Da in southern Cambodia, though when it was published for the first time, it was held in a secret private collection. Authors Wolfgang Felten and Martin Lerner kept the whereabouts of the nearly 40 statues, published in the 1989 book Thai and Cambodian Sculpture from the 6th to 14th Centuries, in private collections to themselves, despite it carrying all the hallmarks of a looted artifact.
